Role Summary:
Quantum Signal AI is looking for a DevOps Intern during summer 2026 to help us improve our CI/CD pipeline. This is a paid internship opportunity, offering valuable hands-on experience and eligibility for academic credit. Day to day, you’ll work with IT and software development teams to accelerate our automated build, test, and release processes. No two software projects are alike, and you’ll contribute to improving software quality and efficiency across our dynamic project portfolio. We like lifelong learners with a bias for action and genuine interest in technical problem solving. Great candidates will have experience with - or great interest in - a discipline combining CI/CD, virtualization, networking and embedded software development.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop, extend, test, and document CI/CD jobs and reusable templates to support a wide range of software R&D projects, technology stacks, and operating systems
- Support administration of CI/CD hardware, software, and virtualization infrastructure
- Enhance our CI/CD tooling with monitoring, alert notification, and recipes for varied testing approaches (e.g., unit, distributed, regression, and soak)
- Collaborate with software development teams in bringing CI/CD projects into compliance with QSAI best practices and standards for CI/CD
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related program
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program, maintaining student status for the entire duration of the internship, including the academic term immediately following the internship
- Strong Linux and basic systems administration skills
- Proficiency with revision control systems (Git/SVN), Bash scripting, and basic networking
- Familiarity with Jenkins, ant, Python, and VMWare/Proxmox
- Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 30 lbs.)
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary
- Good understanding of PC hardware and troubleshooting
- Previous work, school, or hobby experience with CI/CD systems and virtualization
- Having created your own home lab setup (for any purpose)
